We have broken the book into three areas for recording:

Section One is for the Salon Takings Section, daily or just weekly recording of salon takings, service retail and total, client numbers, client average spend as well as the number of each service delivered to help track the efficiency of servicing the clients coming to your salon.

Section Two is the Daily Team Recording Section of the book, this helps team members identify their actual figures as opposed to what they think they made each day. Many only remember the good days or weeks and forget about the shockers. This tool will empower your team because it is up to them to record their own service retail and total figures, again helping them take responsibility for the results they achieve each day. There is a column in this section that averages out what their actual weekly takings were for the month and if they are over or under their set goals. It opens up better communication about areas they need to improve when you do your one on one talks at the end of each month.

Section Three is the Stock Control Section that records all stock movement in the salon. You can identify the stock that is moving and ensure you don’t run out of it as well as identifying what retail stock is not moving and you can look at why. Do the team need more training on that product or is it just not right for your clientele.
